Why we support other organizations
In both the Judiac and Catholic traditions, the principal of giving one-tenth of your income to the church is a long standing practice. It is called a Tithe, which means 1/10th. St. Anselm's uses a portion of the gifts we receive, typically 10% of our annual budget, to support other worthy and important causes, some of which are listed below. So gifts to St. Anselm's are also gifts to our wider community.
What you can choose to support through St. Anselms
Help support the homeless families in the Winter Nights program with gift cards.
On Superbowl Sunday, we take up a collection for the area food pantries. Gifts may be designated at any time towards that cause and we will ensure they reach Contra Costa Food Bank.
Deacon Naomi purchases socks for the men that utilize the services at Trinity Center. Donations can be designated to that cause during Lent.
