Spirit Walks

Spiritwalks

Join Reverend Will Scott and friends for Spirit Walks, a new Lenten season series. Enjoy fresh air, connection and sacred contemplation in nature. Each Sunday afternoon for six weeks – rain or shine – we will walk for two to three miles, starting with a prayer and reflection. Halfway into our walk, we’ll take a brief break and check in with each other. Then, we’ll return to our starting point and enjoy a closing circle and prayer. We’ll walk paved local trails of easy to moderate difficulty:

Sunday, March 9, 2:00-3:30 p.m. – Lafayette-Moraga Regional Trail in Lafayette. We’ll meet at the trail entry point across the street from the Stanley Middle School parking lot on School Street. We will enter the paved trail, turn right and walk east.

Sunday, March 16, 2:00-3:30 p.m. – Lafayette Reservoir. We’ll meet at the east end of the parking lot (if you pay for parking, buy 2 hours’ worth.) We will walk the paved trail clockwise around the reservoir.

Sunday, March 23, 2:00-3:30 p.m. – Iron Horse Train in Walnut Creek. We’ll share the meeting point closer to the walk date.

March 30: Lafayette-Moraga Regional Trail
Meet at the edge of the Stanley Middle School parking lot, 3455 School Street, Lafayette. We will cross the street, enter the paved trail, and turn left to walk across the bridge.

April 6: Lafayette Reservoir
Meet at the east end of the reservoir parking lot, then walk clockwise around “the Rez.” This moderately challenging walk includes hills.

April 13: Lafayette-Moraga Regional Trail
Meet in the St. Anselm’s church parking lot. We’ll walk through the neighborhood to the trail and turn left, to walk south.

Leave extra time to find parking or carpool.

Bring walking shoes, a hat, water and a snack, if you wish. Carpool or leave extra time to find parking. (And we love our furry friends, but please leave pets at home.) Interested or have questions? Speak with Rev. Will or Shelley Frost or email [email protected].
